Ninety mods deep

The first world opened in March 2026 on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge, and we threw a lot at it.

Caves full of radiation and candy, bosses from Cataclysm, Apotheosis gear to chase, kitchens courtesy of Farmer's Delight, waystones to get home, and voice chat so nobody had to shout across the map.

The chronicle

The last battle

Season 1 ended in a great battle, against its most fearsome foe.

What happened before belongs to those who were there. The rest is told quietly, around a campfire.

Nobody has forgotten that fight. And some stories never really end: the tale picks up again in January–February 2027.

Bergocraft is a private server. If someone already plays, ask them to bring you in.

FAQ

Questions

Do I need to buy Minecraft?

Yes. You need Minecraft: Java Edition on your own Microsoft account. The launcher checks that you own the game before playing.

Which systems are supported?

Windows and macOS. There is no Linux version of the launcher.

Why does Windows or macOS show a warning?

The launcher isn't signed with a paid certificate, so the system is cautious on the first install.

On Windows: "More info", then "Run anyway". On macOS: open the app once, then System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway". Later updates install without the warning.

Can I add my own mods or shaders?

Yes, client-side: client mods, shader packs and resource packs, straight from Modrinth and CurseForge in the launcher, or by hand. Pack updates leave them alone.

Do I lose my settings if I reinstall?

No. Your launcher and game settings are saved with your profile and come back on a fresh install, even on another computer.

Can I play singleplayer?

No, Bergocraft is played on the server only, together.
